Big Bend National Park – December 2020
Our second trip to Big Bend National Park.

This marked our second trip to Big Bend National Park.

While we stayed in the park the first time, we opted for Maverick Ranch RV Park in Lajitas, Texas. It's mostly dust dirt and gravel, but it's West Texas, soo... That said, the sites seemed to be level, and it's not a bad park. We'd definitely stay there again.

We were happy to be joined by our friends, and we had buddy sites at Maverick Ranch, which we enjoyed.

We were able to head into the park multiple times throughout the week, allowing us the opportunity to visit some spots we hadn't seen the first time. I was even able to earn my first Jeep Badge of Honor for Black Gap Road, a 4x4 only trail in the park.

We also enjoyed seeing the area that had been farmed in the park. It was amazing to look across the desert landscape, and think that someone made their living there through agriculture. We appreciate the national park team bringing that to life.
