In February of 2001, we took a trip to Disney World in Florida for a few days in the park, and a three day cruise. It was the first longer trip we took as a couple that didn't involve going to see family, and our first cruise.
(Actually, that might be a lie. We took a week in 1999 to visit the Research Triangle to see if that was someplace we might want to live. I think there was a family visit in that trip though.)
We really enjoyed the trip. The park wasn't too crowded, and the Disney cruise was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. We especially enjoyed dining in Palos, an Italian restaurant on the aft end of the boat. The Italian waiter, upon hearing I'd spent time in Naples, had us put away the menus, and he just brought us stuff. I didn't dig the squid in it's own ink, but everything else was delicious.
One thing we noticed; Disney does a very good job of carving out spaces for children, families, and couples. You might think we'd have felt overwhelmed by the kids, but we really didn't.
