his was our first long trip in our first motorhome and the first time we towed a vehicle. It was the first time Emma saw St. Louis and our first visit to a National Park as a family.

This was our first long trip in our first motorhome and the first time we towed a vehicle. It was the first time Emma saw St. Louis and our first visit to a National Park as a family.

In St. Louis, we visited the Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis Zoo, the Gateway Arch, and most importantly, Ted Drewes.

On the way to Indiana, we stopped in Springfield Illinois for a quick visit to the Lincoln Home.

In Indiana, we visited Margaret's family, then headed down to Turkey Run, where we spent a day or two with John's family. Then down to Santa Claus, Indiana. We took the opportunity to visit Lincoln's Boyhood Home, and spent a day at Holiday World.

From Santa Claus, we travelled to Kentucky to visit Lincoln's Birthplace, and Mammoth Cave National Park.

Going by memory on where we stopped, I think this trip was close to 2850 miles, all told.
