I loved this trip.
In the Before Times, this was a yearly trip to Italy, with visits to Venice, Florence, Assisi and Rome. As I'd never visited any place in Italy north of Rome, I was excited to see that part of the country. I was not disappointed.
Highlights for me were visiting Venice, and making new friends on our way to an amazing meal in Assisi. Oh, and maybe drinking wine in the back of the bus on the way to Rome.
And, yes, there was a strike in Italy as we arrived, which messed up air transportation, and yes it was the largest group they'd ever taken to Italy; 80 of us. And yes we were up and at 'em every day, going going going, but I enjoyed every bit of it.
